The study aims to investigate the challenges for human resource management practices according to the increasing number of Ukrainian employees working in Poland. This paper applies a desk research methodology. The study is based on a statistical, official data register. The results reveal selected problems considered in the field of interest of HRM applied in the case of employees from Ukraine, and their plans - intention to stay for a longer period or permanently. The findings of this study will be indispensable to HRM specialists, scholars and researchers of development studies, international politics, migration and diaspora studies, economy, public policy, sociology and social anthropology. They will also be of importance to government think tanks and NGOs working in these areas.
